Communication has always been an essential part of human life: on cave walls in cave art, on the floors of Roman villas in mosaic art, on the vaults of churches in sacred frescoes, on the cold and damp walls of castles in tapestry art, on the walls of grand boulevards in poster art and most recently on urban walls in street art.
In other words, wall decoration, also known as wall covering, is a means of conveying information, decorating a place or sprucing up a wall.
Of course, we are not talking here about wall coating techniques used in the building trade, such as plastering or painting.
A wall can be covered with direct graphics (adhesive), masking (wallpaper) or by affixing a visual display to it (panels, frames, stretched canvas, etc.).
